Living in New York, Glenn and his wife had the pleasure of seeing some of the world's greatest Pipe Bands perform at Madison Square Garden. It was always a thrilling event! He never dreamed he would ever be playing the Great Highland Pipes. At sixty years of age, having moved to Arizona, he met a member of the Phoenix Scottish Pipe Band at the Highland Games. This pipe band member pursuaded Glenn to give it a go. He took some basic beginner lessons and decided to stick to it. A year later he played in his first parade in Scottsdale. What a thrill! What fun! He's still playing fifteen years later and loving it.
